THAT STAGE

Orkut has taken over our lives... We make a statement through "My Profile".
I had an interesting conversation with one of my fav guys (he doesn't know that I favor him) ... Since he wants to maintain anonymity, lets call him "X".

Me: wat plans for sunday?
X: nothing much
shall spend my day with some1
Me (completely clueless): oooohhhhh

X: well hai koi... I'm seeing someone these days

Me: wow

X: so...
Me: no wonder... i was wondering where all the crap about inspiration is coming from
X: yeah its great...
Me: cool che
X: I shall not be able to divulge further information as of now..
not that you cannot know it...
Me: i will leave that to u
X: ....but it would happen.
if you notice...my status on orkut ...as 'single' is gone...
Me: wait a min... its at THAT stage???
ok... wow...
X: what 'THAT' stage?
Me: i mean... the stage where single is removed...

Me: this is how it happens
u meet someone... go out... but have not committed as yet
n want the world to know something is going on... single status is removed
Me: ok..

Me: then... u either have committed or single again
X : no..actually i don't want the world to know it yet
Me: some like me... prefer to not keep anything...
'coz .. even u dont know exactly whats going on
but something is happening
X: i did keep it as committed for one night...but realised that my ex's were all around that day...and our common friends were also online...
so that would have raised some concerns
hence i went ahead and wiped the status thingy completely

we wish our parents to know abt it first
so that we can go ahead with the proceedings

Me: i mean... parents n all?

This is what happens... guy and girl meet.. start dating... both want to show their commitment to each other but are not ready to declare it to the world... Orkut status changed from "single" to "no answer"... things work out quite well... the world is told.. status changed to "committed"... if things don't work out well... status back to "single".... if they break-up... status changed to "no answer" (if they are not ready to mingle and like to keep it a mystery) or "single" (if they are ready to mingle and declare it to the world".
